It wasn't until I went away to college that I began a fitness routine. I had tried to introduce fitness into my life a million times before - vowing to run a couple of miles every morning for a week, running around the track after class in the afternoon - but only lasting one or two sessions at the most. It just wasn't fun, and I couldn't find my motivation.

During my sophomore year, I visited the university recreation center and was drawn to the aerobics classes. They were great, and soon I found myself there every night, trying the different classes ... and returning to the ones I really loved. I had finally found a workout I enjoyed doing.

It felt great to be physically active ... and over time, I began to see results. I didn't experience some dramatic weight loss, shedding pounds and pounds. Instead I experienced a dramatic lifestyle change, making that visit to the recreation center part of my daily routine. I then began to incorporate running ... and soon found the desire to run a half marathon in 2004 and a full marathon in 2005. I was the last person who thought that could be possible, remembering a few years earlier when a few times around the track was enough for me.

Now physical fitness is truly my passion. I love everything about it: sweating, pushing through a hard workout, a sense of accomplishment. I love this field and I love what I do. Personal training allows me to get you excited about working out, too. I want to help you live a healthier lifestyle, one where you eat right, move often, and experience more of life.

Workouts will be varied from one session to the next. You will be challenged, we will have fun, and you will get encouragement from me during and between your workouts. I want you to succeed, and I will do what I can to make sure that happens.

Let me help you reach your goals ... and remember: you've got to start somewhere.
