Uptown Shoppes' Redevelopment Plan

As many of you have heard, there are big things coming to the Uptown Shoppes! Here's what you might not know:

• The building IS NOT BEING TORN DOWN. Some parts of the building will change quite a bit, but the main structure is not being torn down.
• Phase 1 of construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2019 [most likely, March or April].
• Approximately 220 apartments will be built ON TOP of the existing structure.
• We are meeting with developers and working with them during this process.

What does that mean for theGYMkc and you? That means we're all going to have to be patient. There will be scaffolding, construction equipment, and noise to deal with ... but there is no need to worry. The developers are working with us to ensure that we will stay open during construction. The entire property is receiving a face-lift, and that includes MAJOR improvements/a new space for theGYMkc.

We're very excited about our future at The Uptown Shoppes/ Uptown Lofts ... and look forward to unveiling additional details as more plans are finalized.
